Customs Knowledge Institute invites you to our webinar ‘Monthly EU law news overview: May 2024’.
Every week there are around 10-20 EU customs and trade compliance law updates. They can have an immediate effect on business or signal a significant change in the near future. There is no other way to ensure compliance than to constantly monitor the changes and evaluate their effect on your specific business. However, the law is not an easy read and knowledge is required to understand it.
The webinar is aimed to draw your attention to the main latest changes and to provide explanations and knowledge on selected aspects.
During the webinar, we will:
- Give you an overview of the latest EU legal updates in the field of customs and trade compliance (for a period of 4-6 weeks)
- Explain context and meaning for business of some of them
- Focus on a relevant topic of the speaker’s choice.
Speakers
The speakers are directors of the Customs Knowledge Institute
Anthony Buckley
Anthony is Chair of the Customs Knowledge Institute, Ireland. Now operating his own consultancy company, Anthony provides advice to a number of accountancy and other firms, and has experience of training in customs for the University of Limerick, Chartered Accountants Ireland, Irish Exporters Association, and CILT Skillnet. Formerly Head of Revenue’s Customs Service, he led Brexit planning for Irish Customs up to mid-2018. In his Customs role, he represented Ireland at EU discussions, and in the World Customs Organisation.
Enrika Naujoke
Enrika is CEO of CustomsClear, the European customs and trade knowledge platform. She is editor of the Customs Compliance & Risk Management journal for Practitioners in Europe. Enrika has many years of experience in the customs field in customs brokerage, manufacturing, logistics companies. She is also the director of the Lithuanian Customs Practitioners Association.
